SHAUN SAUNDERS believes Whitehawk have hit their stride – even quicker than he thought they would!
They only tasted their first defeat of the season yesterday and boast an outstanding defensive record in the Isthmian South East as they push for promotion, so, it’s no surprise that boss Saunders has been full of praise for his “outstanding” side.
Taking over the Hawks in April, the extent of Saunders’ task was no secret. He entered the Enclosed Ground with the job of first steering the Step 4 club to safety, and then overseeing what needed to be an almighty rebuild.
