■ NEW Salamis did just enough to see off tenman Maldon & Tiptree, taking an early lead courtesy of Louie Remi, who finished off confidently.
The equaliser came ten minutes later as George Smith completed well for his first Jammers goal.
A nasty incident just before half-time involving Terrell Egbri and Luke Foster resulted in Egbri being dismissed and Foster getting a yellow card.
The ever-dangerous Harrison Georgiou restored the hosts’ advantage with a goal just before the hour.
