Lew’s the man for Urchins at the last

A STUNNING last-minute strike from skipper Lewwis Spence gave the Urchins the points as they ran out winners against Merstham.
Hornchurch controlled the early stages and should have gone ahead after 12 minutes when Ronnie Winn was sent clear from a Spence pass but Matte Pierson in the Merstham goal saved well. Jordan Clark had a goalbound effort blocked before Merstham’s Calvin Ekpiteta cleared the bar with a rising shot and Sol Patterson-Bohner headed just wide when well placed.
