Evans Kouassi signs for Folkestone Invicta

Evans Kouassi

Folkestone Invicta have signed Evans Kouassi from Canvey Island.

The striker (pictured left) has joined the Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division side after four years with Canvey, where he scored 63 goals in 125 appearances.

The 34-year-old helped the Gulls reach the FA Cup 2nd Round in 2020 and promotion two years later.

After missing out on Step 2 in 2023 via the play-offs, Canvey finished 14th last term, four points ahead of Folkestone, with Kouassi scoring five in 19 outings during an injury-hit campaign.

Invicta manager Andy Drury told the club’s official website:

“I’m delighted to sign Evans. He’s a proven goalscorer at this level, he offers us something different to the rest of our front line with his pace and directness.

“From our first meeting his ambitions for next season matched ours and I’m sure he will do well this season.”
