Horsham won a first-ever promotion to Step 2 amid scenes of almost unbearable tension as everyone checked their phones to work out if Dom Di Paola’s side had done enough to pip Billericay Town to the title.
In the end, a four-goal margin of victory against Hashtag United was enough to win the championship on goal difference by one goal.
