Nuneaton Town sign prolific goalscorer Aaron Williams

goal machine Aaron Williams has been rewarded for his fine season with a move into the with Nuneaton Town.

The 21-year-old was one of 's most prolific strikers last season, netting 28 times in 39 NPL Premier games for the Pics. He also added ten goals in 12 cup appearances.

That form earned him a call-up to the squad for the 2-1 victory over Republic of Ireland U21s in Galway and Williams has now moved up a division to join Boro.

He has previous Conference North experience with and has previously played in Non-League's top-flight while on loan at AFC Telford.

“There were lots of clubs interested in me this close season, but Nuneaton was the best option,” the former Walsall youngster said.

“I am getting full-time and working with a great manager who has a great record of getting the best out of players.

“I had my first training session today (Monday) and the gaffer and all the players made me feel really welcome.

“It (England C) was an amazing experience, I have never been treated like I was on that trip. Everything was so organised, from travel to training, it was all planned in great detail, and that was brilliant.

“I am hoping to continue in the form I was in last season now I have made the step back up to Conference North, hopefully I will get more England C call-ups this season too!”

Boro have also been linked with a move for former Premier League striker Marlon Harweood who ended last season at League Two .
