North Ferriby United sack manager Chris Bolder as club looks to stave off third consecutive relegation

North Ferriby United have sacked manger Chris Bolder and his assistant Paul Robson with the club amid a financial crisis and the possibility of a third consecutive relegation growing stronger.
The Villagers have taken just six points from their first 15 games and sit bottom of the Northern Premier League.
Ferriby, the 2015 FA Trophy winners, have been in freefall since former owners Steve and Eman Forster listed the club for sale three years ago and subsequently handed over the reins to Jamie Waltham, who lasted just six months before passing the club on to Carl Chadwick.
Bolder was unable to keep Ferriby in National League North last season after taking over from Steve Housham but now Chadwick has acted after their poor start.
Chadwick also has concerns over the future of the club with attendances dropping to around 150, which isn’t enough to cover the player’s wages, let alone other bills.
Chadwick said: “Sadly, results this season have meant that I’ve had to make the decision to dismiss Chris Bolder and Paul Robson with immediate effect. It’s never easy to sack somebody but I felt that it was too much of a risk to continue as we were and probably fall further behind teams just above us in the league. To their credit, both Chris and Paul understand and accept this.
“Although I was not at the Club last season, I would like to thank both of them for all that they did as they had a thankless task when they arrived.
“Unfortunately, the progress the team seemed to be making has not continued this season so I’ve made the decision to dismiss them.
“I must thank them for the energy and effort they have put in this season and I wish them well in any future management jobs they get.
“Joe Lamplough will be in temporary charge of the team, starting with the game at Buxton on Saturday.”
