Former York City, Crawley Town and Southport striker Richard Brodie signs for Ramsbottom United

Richard Brodie has signed for Ramsbottom United to help ease their striker shortage.
Rammy lost former Nottingham Forest and Hartlepool forward Niall Rodney to a serious injury during last week and the Northern Premier League West club have moved to bring in the experienced Brodie.
The 31-year-old has returned to the north-west after a spell in the midlands with Evo-Stik Southern League Central side Rushall Olympic.
The much-travelled Brodie scored 34 goals in the 2009-10 season for York and was named Conference player of the season as they lost in the play-off final to Oxford United.
The following season he joined Crawley Town for an undisclosed fee and won promotion to the Football League.
He then joined Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan where he won another another Conference title.
Since then Brodie has represented a number of Non-League sides with spells at Hereford, Gateshead, Southport and Aldershot Town.
More recently he has appeared for Boston United, Skelmersdale United, Solihull Moors.
