This result allowed Warrington Town to move into a two point lead at the summit of the table after Paul Carden’s side easily dispatched of Hednesford Town in a comfortable 3-1 win.
There was late drama in the six pointer at the top between third placed Farsley Celtic and fourth placed Nantwich Town as a late Ben Atkinson penalty gave Farsley a potentially vital victory.
Scarborough Athletic also kept their promotion hopes alive with a 4-1 thrashing of relegation threatened Stafford Rangers, while Buxton moved closer towards the play-offs with a narrow win over 6th placed Gainsborough Trinity.
