Lincoln United

Evo-Stik East side Lincoln United have announced the appointment of Steve Housham as their new manager.
The 43-year-old enjoyed an impressive playing career, most of which was spent with Scunthorpe United and has since gone on to take charge of Brigg Town, Gainsborough Trinity and the recently wound-up North Ferriby United.

A club statement read,: “He has a huge range of contacts up and down the football pyramid and he fits the bill in what the Whites are looking for including working within a budget, producing young talent, and putting a team together that will compete and prove successful.
“Steve will start officially as soon as he has resolved his current football commitments and until then Sean Wright will continue as caretaker manager ably assisted by Michael Jacklin.”
Lincoln are currently sitting in 13th place following last weekend’s 4-0 win at home to Brighouse.
