Stafford Rangers settle on management team for next season

They’re currently unbeaten in seven, including a win over title chasing Warrington Town, and have only lost once in the league since New Year’s Day

have confirmed that management team of Alex Meechan and Andy Fearn will remain in charge for next season.

The duo took charge over the festive period following the sudden departure of Steve Burr, who has retired, and they have helped move Rangers away from the relegation zone.
They’re unbeaten in seven, which includes an impressive victory over title-chasing , and have only lost once in the league since the turn of the year.
Chairman, John , said: “Alex and Andy have proved themselves over the last few months and the Board have taken this step to ensure continuity and to enable them to move forward with their plans for next season
“Our results since the start of the year when Alex and Andy took control of the first team have shown their ability to progress the team. Their enthusiasm has engendered a good spirit both in the dressing room and on the field and they have convinced the Board of their long term commitment to the club.”
Fearn was assistant to Burr at and , before their move to Stafford.
Meechan, 39, made a handful of appearances in the for Swindon and Bristol City during his playing career, as well as playing for a number of clubs, most notably Forest Green, Telford United and Stalybridge.
Stafford, who have a seven point cushion between them and the relegation zone, travel to in the League Premier Division this weekend.
