Canaries soar to victory as Reds suffer promotion setback

BARWELL continued their impressive away record to dent Workington’s promotion ambitions.
The visitors hadn’t lost on their travels since the end of October.
The Cumbrians had been on a high after a midweek win over Western-super- Mare in the FA Trophy.
Barwell should have gone in front on 23 minutes from the penalty spot but home keeper Aaron Taylor went down well to save Matthew Stenson’s spot kick.
It was Taylor’s fourth penalty save of the season and the 15th of his Workington career.
