STAR ARE STRUCK AS CRAIG DEPARTS

FORMER Sunderland player Craig Lynch has quit as manager of Seaham Red Star after just four months in charge. Having played for the Northern League Division One outfit for three years, and scoring 45 goals in the process, the former Hartlepool United,
Rochdale, Spennymoor and Blyth Spartans was sidelined through a freak injury earlier in the season.
He joined then boss Chris McCabe management team as a coach, and became manager in his own right in February when McCabe left.
But under his helm, Star won just two games out of 16.
