MATLOCK made it seven home wins on the trot, twice coming from behind to beat battling Stafford in a five-goal thriller.
Joe Cuff lobbed Ross Durrant to give Stafford a 13th-minute lead against the run of play in a lively start.
But the Gladiators were level just three minutes later, Craig Westcarr getting on the end of a Craig King cross ahead of goalkeeper George Sykes-Kenworthy to force the ball home.
Durrant did well to block from Cuff, who had charged down an Adam Yates clearance.
