Hardy gives Whitby bad case of Blues

BUXTON earned a deserved victory, being comfortably the better side for all but the final quarter hour when Whitby at last began to offer a threat after being previously shackled by a resolute home defence.
John Pritchard with a neat free kick just over the angle offered an early threat and his team took a 15th minute lead with a penalty kick by Liam Hardy who had been fouled by centre back Leon Carling as he fastened on to a James Dean headed flick.
