FALTERING SHIELDS SLIP UP IN TITLE RACE

SOUTH Shields’ were rescued by Rob Briggs’ penalty seven minutes into injury time but lost ground in the title race.
Basford‘s play-off hopes are all but over after Jack Thomas saw red for handball and Briggs equalised at the death.
