STEVE Chettle won his first competitive home game with Basford as they thrashed Lancaster City at Greenwich Avenue.
Jack Thomas opened the scoring early on with a cool finish before Nat Watson smashed home a penalty to give Basford a 2-0 lead. Lancaster pulled one back just before half-time through Bradley Carsley, a sloppy goal to concede for Basford.
Lancaster looked dangerous but two goals in two minutes finished off the away side. Sub James Carvell and Courey Grantham netted in the 82nd and 84th minutes to ensure Basford kept all three po...
