BRIGHOUSE Town earned revenge for a 2-1 defeat in September on Merseyside with a 2-0 home win.
The first half was endto- end in parts, with Steve Mason missing a free header for Mossley after a great corner.
Jes Uchegabulem looked dangerous throughout for Mossley and struck the bar within minutes of the restart with a fierce effort.
The Purps took the lead when skipper Denson’s long ball into the box was missed by Mossley keeper Theo Roberts, under pressure from Jay Jeffries and the ball dropped into the net.
