ON A cold day at Ewen Fields, Hyde and Gainsborough shared the points in an attritional affair. Neither side managed to get any rhythm going in the game, with chances few and far between. The first half was the quieter of the two, as both sides tried to make use of the channels, which made the game direct and scrappy. A change at the break with Curtis Morrison replacing George Green for Gainsborough injected pace down the right-hand side.
