SCOTT Allison scored a hat-trick as Workington struck late to move fi ve points clear at the top of the table for Christmas.
It was the hosts who opened the scoring, Jackson Jowett heading home at the back post but the two teams were back level just four minutes later when Allison scored the first of his three from the spot.
For much of the second- half it looked as though the points were going to be shared, neither side managing to find that something special to break the deadlock but the final ten minutes told a completely different story.
