STAFFORD RANGERS gave their relegation fight a boost with victory over ten-man Scarborough.
Athletic had shaded a competitive opening but created only one real opportunity which James Walshaw wasted with a finish which didn’t match the quality of the build up and a smart back-heel from Pete Davidson.
It took some 20 minutes before the Scarborough goal was threatened and it came of their own making, Tom Taylor clawing away a header from team-mate Harry Coates.
