CARLTON IN TRIPLE SPOT OF BOTHER

NEWCASTLE continued their unbeaten start in the league with an emphatic win over Carlton.
They took the lead after 12 minutes when Joe Berks fired home from the spot, but Carlton were level three minutes later when Daryll Thomas’s looping header found the corner.
Town had a chance to retake the lead, but this time Jack Steggles saved Berks’s penalty.
From the resulting corner, Castle were awarded a third penalty and Ryan McLean fired home.
