Buxton boss keen to repay club’s faith

The 55-year-old diabetic had his right leg amputated below the knee a couple of months ago after gangrene spread and is currently wheelchair bound. But the support of the Bucks’ board, and in particular chairman Dave Hopkins, has helped him through tough times.

BUXTON boss Gary Hayward has set his sights on repaying the club’s faith in his hour of need by leading them to promotion from the Pitching In NPL Premier.
The 55-year-old diabetic had his right leg amputated below the knee a couple of months ago after gangrene spread and is currently wheelchair bound. But the support of the Bucks’ board, and in particular chairman Dave Hopkins, has helped him through tough times.
