Ambitious Morpeth bring in former Hartlepool United captain Ryan Donaldson

The 30-year-old midfielder led Pools to promotion into the Football League at the end of last season, scoring what turned out to be the winning spot-kick in the playoff final shoot-out against Torquay.

AMBITIOUS Morpeth Town have pulled off one of the deals of the summer by landing Hartlepool United skipper Ryan Donaldson.
The 30-year-old midfielder led Pools to promotion into the Football League at the end of last season, scoring what turned out to be the winning spot-kick in the playoff final shoot-out against Torquay.
However, he has decided to forego the opportunity to play in the EFL to throw his lot in with the Highwaymen. Crucially, he will begin his coaching career in the club’s new academy alongside his playing duties.
