THE two teams that were joint top of the division before Covid caused the league programme to be curtailed faced off in a season curtain-raiser.

It was Corby who started off the better of the sides with both Jordan O’Brian and Apindia Kamy Gille firing shots in from distance.
Bedworth though that broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when some neat play around the edge of the Steelmens box ended up with Luke Rowe being brought down. Mitch Piggon put the penalty away.
