CHRIS Willcock’s era started for Workington with a win at Kidsgrove, thanks to a goal midway through the first half from Bradley Carroll.

Carroll was able to slip past the Kidsgrove defence after 34 minutes to fire home and seal all three points for the Cumbrian side.
It could have been a bigger victory had it not been for Kidsgrove goalkeeper Kieran Harrison.
He made two fine saves to deny Connor Tinnion and Reuben Jerome, the second was a stunning one-handed save at his near post.
