ON a wet afternoon at Seel Park, the season opened in incredible style with 373 fans watching an end to end game full of entertainment.

The first half started evenly, but it was Bootle who struck first after 29 minutes with a deflected effort from Ben Hodgkinson finding its way past Jon Hadlow. The visitors went from strength to strength and Hadlow was needed on several occasions to keep the hosts in it at times.
However, a late resurgence from the Lilywhites saw sub Connor Morris score with his first touch, before Kane Hickman scored a sensational winn...
