■LEEK Town welcomed Kendal to Harrison Park for the first match on the Blues’ new 3G pitch – and eased to a comfortable win.
Leek took the lead early on when Will Saxon scored with a smooth finish from five yards.
Saxon almost got a second with a strong header that was well saved by Kendal keeper Will Lombard.
Despite Blues’ dominance, they failed to score again in the first period.
In the second half, the Blues continued to push forward, but did not score again until the 78th minute when Tim Grice fired a strong shot into the rig...
