■YAXLEY took all three points in this bottom of the table clash at Bridge Road in a match that neither side could afford to lose.
The hosts looked the more likely in the opening stages but the all important first goal came midway through the first half when Yaxley’s Matt Sparrow capitalised on a defensive error to drill home, moments after being yellow carded for diving.
The goal gave Yaxley the confidence they were lacking and while Histon pressed, they lacked a cutting edge and the visitors looked dangerous on the counter attack.
