■ FOUR goals from striker Ryan Brooke laid the foundations for Runcorn Linnets’ comprehensive victory against struggling Kendal Town, who couldn’t muster a shot on target all game.
The Cumbrians’ cause wasn’t helped by the dismissal of Gary Basterfield after 41 minutes, but even with a full complement of players Kendal were always second best to the in-form Linnets.
A penalty after 30 minutes from Joe Lynch started the goal fest, but then a golden hat-trick from Brooke in the 34th, 35th and 37th minutes set up the win.
