■ NEWCASTLE Town picked up a much-needed win in Cumbria.
Both teams made a competitive start however Newcastle created the better of the chances when Will Lloyd forced James McClenaghan to make a smart save.
Newcastle opened the scoring in the second half after 59 minutes when Joseph Berks drilled the ball into the net, and the visitors kept pressing for a second before Lewis Jarman slid the ball home with just seven minutes left.Kendal pressed and missed too glorious opportunities from Scott McDonald and Joel Brogan while Newcastle nearly scored...
