■ THIS game proved to be a great advertisement for the Northern Premier League with both teams giving 100 per cent. A large crowd of 604 saw a powerful Leek Town side beat nine-man Clitheroe.
It was the home team who began to dominate play early on and Leek Town took the lead with Jack Wakefi eld scoring with a fi ne strike.
