■ ASTONISHING late drama saw Cables come out winners over rivals Bootle.
Cables dominated the first half, their opener coming after 31 minutes when O’Halleron drove into the box and squared to Brickell to hammer home.
Mitchell Allen made several spectacular saves throughout the second half, most notably denying Hodkinson’s header from point-blank range.
