■ A RESURGENT Cables picked up a huge win in their scrap for survival at Townfield.
The visitors came out flying and had the better of the early exchanges using the wind to their advantage. A scrappy goal was always going to be the way to break the deadlock. A cross from the left swerved in the winds and hit the knees of a home defender, who couldn’t help but steer in to his own net.
