■SEASIDERS keeper James Hitchcock made a string of fine saves to earn his side a point.
The game began fairly evenly with Danny Earl causing the Stocksbridge defence issues with his trickery down the righthand side.
Unfortunately for him and Brid, however, he was forced off with an injury just 29 minutes in. He was replaced by Louis Beckett, who joined on a one-month loan from Hull City just one day before. Beckett had a great chance to put Bridlington ahead but struck wide.
