■MIDFIELDER Luke Clarkscored on his debut as Marine battled to a win over a competitive 1874 Northwich.
Forward Jack Dunn also made his debut, playing just behind striker Owen Watkinson.
A poor pitch impacted the overall quality, with both sides struggling to get the ball down and play, resulting in many long balls.
The only goal of the game came in the 33rd minute, after Northwich goalkeeper Tony Adhayere failed to punch a cross away from danger, and Clark was on hand to finish from the edge of the box.
