■AN early goal wasenough to give Ramsbottom victory over Prescot Cables.
The decisive action came after only two minutes when Rams full-back Owen Collinge broke down the right and delivered a cross to the far post. Timing his run to perfection, winger Billy Hasler-Cregg connected with an unstoppable volley which smashed into the roof of the net.
With both teams needing points to lift themselves above the relegation playoff spot, Prescot sought to re-assert themselves but found the home defence in stubborn mood.
