KIDSGROVE Athletic’s eight game unbeaten in the league came to an end with defeat against Runcorn Linnets.
Ryan Brooke’s 19th goal of the season was the difference and it was a fantastic goal from the visitors to win the game.
An Iwan Murray corner was expertly dummied by Alex Downes to Brooke who drove the ball into the top corner.
They should have had a second when Lewis Bergin fouled Joe Lynch in the area. The winger stepped up but saw his penalty saved by Ryan Brown.
