■ GLOSSOP North End’s winless run continued as they fell to defeat at home to Prescot Cables.
A string of mistakes by the Hillmen could have proved costly in the first 15 minutes, as Harry Allen’s drop-kick was miscued and was almost lobbed in by Leon Arnasalam from 40 yards. Two minutes later, Lee Wilshaw was closed down by Sam O’Halleron inside the area and his block went just wide.
It didn’t take long for Cables to open the scoring in the second half as Ian Kearney directed an excellent Lewis Buckley cross into the net...
