ROBINS FLY TO EXTEND LEAD AT TOP

THE OVAL played host to top-of-the table Ilkeston in a match that the away team were favourites to win, on paper.
And with Halesowen losing earlier in the day, the away side were looking to cement their place at the top of the pile.
The first half was played at high tempo by both sides, but with few and far chances for either team.
The hosts led at the break when a Jared Bird back-pass was underhit and Ryan Nesbitt pounced and rounded Saul Deeney in the Ilkeston goal.
