RUNCORN Linnets equalised four minutes into five added on to rescue a point against ten-man Widnes.
The Whites deserved more but came up against Runcorn keeper Danny Taberner in inspired form. He twice superbly saved from Steven Irwin and Sharif Deans in the first half.
The Whites suffered a blow when Irwin was sent off late in the first half for a foul on Lewis Doyle.
But the home side carried their dominance into the second half and eventually took the lead 16 minutes from time.
