RED REBELS FIND RAPID RESPONSE FOR A POINT

THE POINTS were shared in a match which will be remembered for a remarkable five minutes in the second half.
The home side almost scored on four minutes, when Regan Linney was denied one on one by Whitby goalkeeper Shane Bland. This save was rewarded by Lewis Hawkins two minutes later, when the Whitby midfielder placed the ball past Dan Lavercombe from the edge of the area to open the scoring.
The Reds almost drew level on 36 minutes, when a corner from the left found the head of defender Andy Halls who was unlucky to hit the bar.
