■ WIDNES are seven points adrift from safety after losing at home to Newcastle Town in a game that saw both sides reduced to ten men.
Nathan Morley found the top corner after nine minutes to give the away side the lead but they were almost immediately pegged back when Ste Rigby rattled the crossbar.
