ROBINS FLY PAST COLLS TO WIN TWO IN A ROW

ASSISTANT manager Sean Newton weighed in with his third goal of the season for Ashton United, as the home side ran out comfortable winners against Atherton Collieries at a muddy Hurst Cross.
The visitors made the better start and almost took the lead eight minutes in as Jay Fitzmartin cut inside on to his right foot and saw his effort bounce out off the underside of the bar.
However, Newton gave the Robins the lead when the defender glanced home a Nathan Lowe free kick just before the midway point of the first period.
