■ YAXLEY failed to cap- on their point italise at Shepshed last week as they fell to a disappointing defeat to Cambridge City.
There were several ex-Yaxley players in the City line-up and it was one of these, Tom Waumsley, who broke the deadlock after 15 minutes.
Recent new signing Tom Lorraine doubled the scoring four minutes later. The floodgates then threatened to open but Yaxley held firm keeping City at bay for the rest of the half.
