■ KEVIN Hayes provided the instant impact his boss Michael Dunwell would have wanted as he came off the bench to score the game’s only goal to lift Stockton Town back into second spot.
Hayes replaced Michael Roberts after 61 minutes and, just 60 seconds later, he was celebrating as a long ball through the middle found the forward who was able to beat the onrushing Ben Townsend despite not getting the cleanest of connections on the ball to score the game’s only goal.
