IT WAS honours even in an enjoyable game of football as Hyde United and Guiseley battled to a draw on opening day.
Two sides with contrasting styles of play nullified each other’s threats well.
Hyde started the game the better of the two sides and their short corner routines troubled the visitors.
Aaron Fleming came closest on 11 minutes. Receiving the ball on the edge of the box, his shot was going goalwards until it was cleared off the line by Tom Denton.
