A GOAL in each half was enough for Lancaster City to secure victory against Stafford Rangers.
After both sides had chances, it was Lancaster who broke the deadlock after 44 minutes. Sam Bailey fed Jake Connelly on the edge of the penalty area who beat two defenders before firing a shot past Cameron Belford.
Charlie Bailey had a chance to double Lancaster’s advantage in stoppage time but was denied by a good save from Belford.
