■ LYE TOWN continued their excellent run of form thanks to a couple of clinically taken goals to rebuff a robust Gresley side. Gresley should have snatched an immediate lead when striker Jamie Sleigh fired wide and goalkeeper Ben Newey then turned a goalbound effort from Sleigh onto the post as Lye lived dangerously.
Lee Chilton finally broke the deadlock after 57 minutes with a precision finish.
