Sloan’s stunner seals drab affair

CHRISTIAN Sloan’s spectacular stoppage-time goal saw play-off hopefuls Lancaster City snatch all three points at home against Matlock Town.
Dom Lawson came close for Lancaster five minutes in, when his header from Sam Bailey’s cross landed on the roof of the net.
Experienced winger John Johnston had a golden opportunity to put Matlock ahead after 27 minutes, brekaing through on-goal but dragging his eventual effort wide of the mark.
